QUEENSRŸCHE Members Get Busy With Side-Projects
February 8, 2004SOULBENDER, the new band formed by QUEENSRŸCHE guitarist Michael Wilton, ex-MY SISTER'S MACHINE singer Nick Pollock, guitarist Dave Groves, and drummer Wes Hallam, are finishing up the mixing process for their new album, according to a posting on Wilton's official web site. A spring/summer release is expected.
In related news, QUEENSRŸCHE drummer Scott Rockenfield's side-project SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM have parted ways with vocalist Scotty Heard (SWEATY NIPPLES). "His path and our paths were not heading in the same direction," the band write on their web site. "The rest of us in SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM hold no ill will to Scotty, and we wish him the best!"
SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM are currently finishing up their sophomore full-length CD, tentatively due this spring. Joining Rockenfield on the new album are Kelly Gray (guitars, ex-QUEENSRŸCHE),Damon Johnson (guitars, BROTHER CANE) and Roman Glick (bass, BROTHER CANE).
